David nominated for two 2011 Canadian Folk Music Awards ! – SOLO ARTIST OF THE YEAR and ENGLISH SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR
David Francey and Mike Ford are happy to learn that their CD “Seaway” was nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award in the Traditional Folk Album of the Year. The Awards will be held on Saturday, November 20, 8:00 pm, at the Pantages Playhouse Theatre in Winnipeg, MB
What a Year!
David Francey gained considerable recognition this year, first by winning a Canadian Folk Music Award for Best Singer of the year, he then won the USA Songwriting Competition for Best Folk Song, The Golden Quill Award for songwriting at this year’s 18th Annual Porcupine Awards and was voted one of the top 100 folk artists of the past 25 years by WUMB out of Boston! Phew – Our heads are spinning – what a Christmas present!
